The renowned traditional family run nursery Halls of Heddon was established in 1921 by David’s grandfather William Nicholson Hall who turned his hobby into a business after returning injured from the First World War.
Since the early years the nursery has specialised in Dahlias and Chrysanthemums with the first catalogue produced in 1931. They now grow almost 150,000 plants annually, supplying Chrysanthemum and Dahlia plants nationwide.
