Unfortunately, our previously publicised speaker Steve Hickman is no longer able to attend our meeting. However. we are delighted that Steve’s son Colin, nursery manager at the family business Hoyland Plant Centre, will be coming in his place.
Members may remember Steve’s visit in 2014 when we had a practical demonstration on propagation and care of agapanthus, a lively evening full of very useful advice.
Colin will also be giving us a practical demonstration, again using live material and on the subject of nerines, amarines and tulbhagia.
Amarines are a recent hybrid – a cross between Amaryllis belladonna & Nerine bowdenii with the vigour of the Amaryllis and the hardiness of the Nerine bowdenii (hardy to -10c).
Colin is bringing plants for sale.
